Albert Schwab Karlshrue - Floral Painted Bavarian Shield Wall Clock Active

A rare Albert Schwab Karlsruhe chiming shield clock, Made in Black Forest region of Germany in the mid 20th century.

Hand painted face features blue, pink and yellow flowers, embellished with gold filigree and a gold sunburst in the center.

This 1 day clock is powered by two acorn weights, and is regulated by a long, matching pendulum. To accommodate the chains and the movement of the weights, it should be hung roughly 6' high. One weight powers the time, and the other powers the chime.

This clock makes a lovely chime on the half hour and the top of the hour.

Measures 8” tall

The movement has been inspected, serviced and tested and is running very well. Speed is currently set, but can be adjusted by raising or lowering the pendulum.

Just to be clear, these are often considered Cuckoo clocks, however this one doesn't have a bird or make a cuckoo sound.
