A beautiful Albert Schwab Karlsruhe cuckoo clock, Made in Black Forest region of Germany in the mid 20th century.
This clock is powered by three large brass weights, and is regulated by a carved, matching pendulum. To accommodate the chains and the movement of the weights, it should be hung roughly 6' high. The center weight powers the time, and the other two powers the chime and music box.
This clock cuckoos once on the half hour and the appropriate number of cuckoos at the top of the hour. It alternates playing Brahms Lullaby and The Blue Danube
The movement by Albert Schwab Karlsruhe has been inspected, serviced and tested and is running very well. Speed is currently set, but can be adjusted by raising or lowering the pendulum.
