Antique Brocot & Delettrez Victorian Massive 8 Day Black Slate Clock by Richard & Cie circa 1860
This glorious slate clock is a Victorian era Masterpiece. Inlays of malachite and engraved and gilt scrollwork decorates the front of the glossy black slate case.
A beautiful open escapement movement sits within a white enamel dial. The pallet fork is visible as well as the escapement wheel for you to watch the the clock regulate the time very well. The movement has been serviced and keeps good time. It is stamped with “R&C PARIS LONDON” denoting Richard & Cie, a French clockmaker with a London location.
The clock has a lovely chime that strikes on the half hour and the hour with the appropriate number for the time.
